Yo! [17 Nov 2006|02:36am]
Oh my God!!! Kenrick is actually making a post?! Has the world gone mad?! Well. .maybe I have since I totally forgot about this thing, oh well. Life will go on as we know it. Speaking of life, I recently came to a major part of it where I found the joy of it and, the best of me. To put it in "cooler" words. . I found the magic of life! As many of you know I recently just returned home from working/doing an internship down in Disney World, one of the best oppurtunites I ever received. I told many of you that the work was hard and, I was always busy. But, where else in the world would you get the chance to entertain about 65,000 people a day!! And, make the lives of young children, adults, senior citizens so magical and, so amazing for atleast a moment or, even a day?? Or even hearing about 65,000 people screaming your name awaiting your arrival?! I'm sure people like. . Derek Jeter hear stuff like that all the time as he enters Yankee Stadium, but. . when people do that for me, 19 year old Ken Facey. .it amazes me, eventhough I am dressed as another person/character. Seeing people so happy and, so joyful after I made there day SO much better and, magical it amazes me. I live for these moments! I'm sure these type of moments happen at your avarage store but, its different. People don't travel across the world or, 2,000 miles to get a shirt, they travel that much to see a Disney Character. We make a difference. . the Disney Difference, and I am very happy to say I am returing to Disney in May and, i'll be back in September. My plan is to work for Disney in the summer and, return home in the fall-winter to go to Kean. Disney has impacted my life so much that I want to return there, I want to make peoples days AMAZING eventhough, I dont have my Disney name tag on. Through this experince I realized that life is amazing and, magical! I'm sure were all gonna have a bad day but, you cant have an amazing rainbow without a little rain!! Or even. . have something to look foward to without having a bad experince in a situation. This may all seem very stupid to you all but, it makes me happy! Being apart of making something magical makes me happy, knowing that a amazing day will come after a bad one makes me happy!! The best of Ken Facey has been brought out!! And, I wish you all luck in finding the best within yourself. Now that I am attending Kean for Music Ed, I will develop the skills to past down the best gift I ever recieved from God. . MUSIC!!! And, hope they do amazing things with it!! Because, I sure am. . I am making people have magical days, sharing my gift and love of music!! What a great world God has built for us!!! I cant ask for anything more!! Best of luck to all of you as you find yourself and, your joy!:)!

My trip to Arizona was a very interesting one I have to say. One thing that people must know is that throughout the entire trip slippers were my only mode of footwear. Although Arizona is made of complete desert and mountains there are some interesting sights.

The flight into the state was uneventful but things made up for it. There was a museum that  my family went to that was full of Native American art, pottery, and history. It really sucked to be Native American when Europeans came to America. The gift shop was extremely expensive even by gift shop standards, guess that's to be expected.

There are a lot of ruins like Montezuma Castle (cliff dwelling) in Arizona. My brother became a junior ranger because he took this program thing. Made me so proud...hehe...he got a hat and a badge..I want a badge...There was also this other place that took forever to get to because it was in the middle of this huge plain. When we got there I found out that the Indians that lived there had a lot of things to do. There was a dance circle and a sports arena type of deal, it resembled soccer to tell the truth. A blow hole was there and it just kept blowing cold air continually. It remains a mystery to scientists because it's so rare and they can't touch it or it would be destroyed. One thing I do know is that I really need to get one of those.

The Grand Canyon is big. There is no other way to put it. The trip there was really long but worth it I guess. My family didn't want to go that far so we only walked about a quarter of a mile. That meant that there wasn't much to actually see so that was bad.

After the ventures in Arizona we went to Las Vegas and on the way there we saw a nipple mountain. The thing was serious...Hoover Dam isn't what its cracked up to be. It was so small and didn't have gushing water like one would expect from a dam.The water was an amazing blue-green though...

The strip on Las Vegas was okay. It was typical to see a lot of newly weds wearing sneakers. There is this thing called the dancing fountains and that was really unique because it played beautiful music with water movements the gushed in different formations to go along with the music, really nice. inside a building there was The Venetian. It was like Europe in the place. There were fake two story buildings, smooth stone floors, lamp posts, stores and benches. A gonddola ride ran through the place and from time ti time the guys giving the rides would sing in Italian. The ceiling was really dope. It was a tarp that was painted and lighted like the afternoon sky with cloouds and everything, there was also a section that looked like it was dusk, really dark and such.

When we were in Arizona we stayed with a family friend. They were really cool. Especially this guy Parker. He was like 60 but so funny. That is a person to remember.

Throughout the entire trip I missed Friends, band, and ROTC. From time to time I would think about what the heck was going on. <3Most of all I missed Isleny. I love her. It was so hard not to see her.<3 It's really bueno to be home. Anyway, good night and se ya'll when we get to school.

-GIL

hmm...band camp is over. Such good times eventhough I missed half of it. Just so proud of everyone. Seriously the new freshman aren't that bad at all. They piusk up pretty quick. Not perfect, but decent. Kind of controlling...

Big question...who's better Alien or Predator? Most definitly Alien in my opinion. There is just so many of them and they frigin multiply like there's no tomorrow. Does anyone have an opinion on this matter?

Well I have to go now. Bye ya'll.

I looove Isleny. (Had to add it, sorry)

It's been an interesting day today. Surprisingly it has been easy. Isleny kind of made me sad because of the whole "I feel Lonely" thing. What can I do?
God only knows. I do try.

Anyway, the suggestion for a bunch of people to get together to work on AP Biology stuf is a great idea. K-Yeh and I were kind of starting one and it would be awesome if a little group could be started...

Ahh...Band Camp and ROTC for the entire summer and then on the 22nd I get to go to Arizona for 10 days. I'll miss everyone I know...maybe ya'll will feel the same.

When are the new SAT's coming out? Do we have to take them? Or will colleges still accept old ones? Ahhh!!! Darn government. Who in the world likes Bush. hee hee.

Well anyway g'nite.

It's been an interesting summer so far. There have been so many things to do and it has kept me busy. Although it hasn't been fun the entire summer it is still very fulfilling.

Ugh, needless to say I've been really tired you know?

Who's started AP Biology and AP English work? Sheesh, I'm so lazy.

The youth group retreat I went on recently was a good experience. There was so much to learn if you can believe that. The place was up at GRey Moor monastary so needless to say I "tried" to be quiet all weekend. Of course I failed and in return got in trouble with my priest. It was really annoying having to write an apology letter and then recieve a speech. But all in all it was fun.

Isleny has been such an awesome girlfriend the entire summer and our relationship is reaching 11 months. That is so friggin amazing, in my opinion of course. Ahh, I love her.

The Marching Band music this year is so awesome. It's hard to believe how enthusiastic I am about it. Usually it bores me.

Anyway, got to sign off. Talk to ya'll people later.

[ music | Charlie Parker-This time the dreams on me ]

Yo everyone, its Kenrick again, and i'm actually updating 2 days in a row, woot! So,let me talk about today..Hrm,I woke up from a crazy dream I was having about Charlie Brown around 12ish,took a shower,my mom got me somthing to eat, then I cleaned my room while listening to Streetlight Manifesto, came online for a bit, then I went back upstaris to play some guitar,I wrote some pretty cool ska ish. After that I went outside to play some basketball,my bro came out to play me in a game I owned him.Came back inside praticed my sax for like 2 hours and let me tell you,yo' I have gotten so much better at sax, man,I just feel so accomplished after praticing. After praticing I took a shower, got somthing to eat while watching a very depressing episode of Roseanne. It was like the last episode or somthing. So,now i'm here chillen and watching the Cosby show, man, that show rocks. But anyways, tomorrow theres a show I might go to in Clark with LP,AMLM,Selisus, and TTC,and its also the first day of Surf and Skate,so it should be a pretty rockin week for most people.I'll probably just stay home, rock out to some jazz, and pratice my sax more,I wanna get betters,so pratice is the key word for that,or I even might have band pratice hopfully.I dunno,we'll see.But for now thats it,take care.-Kenrick

Finally gonna update! [14 Apr 2004|10:50pm]
[ mood | calm ]
[ music | Selsius-Tigers&Coursaders ]

Yo!oh man its been awhile since Gil&I had one of these things called"updates".But we both been very busy with other things and preparing for other things, and now I Kenrick finally have the time to do some updating. So,yea whats been going on latly?Hrm..well my first ever RahwayHighschool play production 42ndstreet is over, and i'm kinda happy that its over because I have some time to pratice on my instrument, and return to jazzlab, but also sad because I enjoyed every moment of the preformance and the reharsals, and now its over, all done.I learned so much about myself doing the show, and also learned alot about acting, singing, dancing. Its some pretty tough stuff to do,but I enjoyed doing all of it and I pray every night to do it all over again next year. So,yea what else has been happening...oh yea,we just recently had our concert band Spring concert with the concert band and the 2 jazz bands. The concert band played pretty good, but we always play pretty good. Then after the concert band played the jazz lab preformed our 4 songs, which we rocked it,everyone in jazz lab played really really well, and I myself had one really good solo dedcaited to my father, and jazz legend John Coltrain. When jazzlab was done playing the amazing jazz ensemble played.Jazz ensemble just tore down the house, they always play great, and sound professional,I one day hope to be in jazz ensemble in my comming 2 years left of highschool. Also at the spring concert we had a special guest guitar player named Joe Dalton. He was really really good,he played a song with us and had a trade off with Ezra which both of them were really awsome.Ezra had this one guitar riff that was just insane.Hes so good at his instrument. But,anyways, like 4 days before the spring concert we had our annual pancake jazz breakfast to foundraise money for the marching band, and both highschool bands played along with the middleschool jazz band, and some student facuily combos.Overall the event was pretty good, I think I played decent, but that wasnt my best preformance. Now the concert band is getting ready to preform at our all city concert at the middleschool with all rahway district bands,it was pretty cool last year,so it should be pretty cool again this year, and this concert will take place Tuesday April30th.So,I pretty much updated what has happend and now were up to now which is spring break. Not much has happend,On friday a few peeps and I went to the movies to celebrate Erika M. b-day,Saturday I praticed my sax,Easter chilled with fams,Monday went to the doc with my mom,Tuesday chilled home and went over Polanins house,he did my background, thanks Steve!we chilled for a bit, then came home chilled. Now today I went bowling with the same people I chilled with Friday with the exception of a few others. So,nothing exiciting has happend this week.Ashlee is on a cruise and wont be back till sunday.Thats 4 days from today, thats so far away!!I miss her!!But,anyways, thats what has happend so far and I'll hopfully do alot more updating now.Thats it for now.-Kenrick

Tonight was friggin' amazing. The play "42nd Street" performed by our school was just wonderful. The people were just so perfect, sme parts were just so funny. Ahh...2 more performances left...I'll miss it. (eventhough I only play the music.) It's funny John Ott, Kenrick, and Ed went out to buy Mcdonalds and brought it into Galaxy Diner. So ghetto, they got kicked out for a while. but hey, it was only a milkshake or so...^_~. Till next time, bye.

I'm beginning to think that maybe I should update this livejournal more since Kenrick has seemingly taken dominion over it. It's just that I don't think that there is much interest in what I have to say. Days go by and still I think of mundane things. Is it just me or does it seem that when you type up an update the friggin journal misses letters? I swear that I have to go back and forth correcting things when I know I spelled things right. Sheesh, look at all the "I's" in this update. Must make me seem mad conceited or something. Well, have to go. Can't type much since I don't know html's like everyone else. Might make this paragraph seem to have no sense in it.

So, this is Gil. Has there ever been a friend you had that inexpressibly astounds you? Whether it be by their personality or their intoxicating grace? I have one such friend. The fragrance she upholds makes the senses wanting more, like the stars waiting for a full moon to bring the night sky perfection. The smile taunts me with those brilliant teeth, daring me to look upon them and proclaim what has been waiting to be said for the longest time. It's amazing how one could bring me so much joy and yet cause such pain...

So,today was a snow day, which was really boring,I went out did some shovling, and bascially laid around all day, with nothing to do.Days like this make kids relize school is a cooler place to be at then home, its just that kids dont wanna wake up early. So yea, today I relized who I really like, like its crazy but yea.Enough with that.I'm gonna go to bed now,and say an amish prayer.Peace-Kenrick

[ music | They cant take that away from me-Frank Sinatra ]

Alright,so today was alright,I finally got out of 2 gyms classes and got intro to dance period5.So,that rocks.Play pratice was cancelled, maybe because its suppose to be bad snow.I hope it doesnt snow alot because I hate the snow, and hate shovling. Also everytime we have a snow day it takes adds on more days that we gotta make up in June, and no one wants to sit in school in June. The snow maybe a beatiful site to see,I even like to look at it and think of what snow is trying to tell us,because in this world when somthing happens it is trying to tell us somthing, even when we sneez.Us humans just have to look at this things in a deeper aspect. So,I really dont know if I should stay up all night or go to bed,I dont know if theres school or not, well,we'll probably just have to wait and see wont we?Well,i'm pretty much done.Oh yea..a big thanks to John S. who helped me so much yesterday with dance he rocks, and thanks to everyone who gave effort to help Heather M,Steph M,and Valter. So,yea thats all.Peace-Kenrick

You know what sucks? Walking home in the dark...You know what's worse? Anyway, yesterday was Ahlee's sweet sixteen. It was really, really fun. At most formal occasions I'm usually that guy you find at a corner drinking something because of my two left feet and stick body. However, I actually danced and such. Well, got to go, swim meet tomorrow. -Gil
